In total 32 young talented creatives from 16 different countries were selected by their respective local associations, members of the Art Directors Club of Europe (ADCE), to participate in this 11th Edition of the Creative Express, an exclusive educational programme.

In collaboration with the school of advertising and creativity, The Atomic Garden Vilnius, the ADCE and the Lithuanian Design Association, this year’s Creative Express edition will take place once again face-to-face from the 29th of September to the 1st of October in Vilnius, the capital city of Lithuania.

The Creative Express is a programme organized by the ADCE designed to provide professional training and promotion to youthful European creatives. It gathers the continent’s best young art directors, copywriters and designers, to deepen their knowledge, and inspire themselves from their international peers and experienced mentors. Each year, the participants work together to solve a real-world challenge.

“The history of Vilnius began when the Grand Duke Gediminas of Lithuania first mentioned the city in one of his letters to foreign merchants and craftsmen”, and 700 years after, Remigijus Šimašius, Vilnius mayor, is celebrating its anniversary by inviting young creatives to gather in the city.

Because of this, the Creative Express 2022 Edition has the aim to create ideas and proposals that can promote the capital of Lithuania throughout all Europe. The final ideas and campaigns will be presented the 1st of October.

Šimašius, describes in his official invitation to young creatives, the capital city as ¨ the place where various cultures and people have been mingling, exchanging ideas, and learning from one another for centuries ¨. He believes that “both the city and its residents are the true embodiment of youthful curiosity, ingenuity, determination, and passion”. For this reason, he invites young creatives from all around Europe to discover the city and “co-create fresh concepts for Vilnius” that “promote their values”.

During this three day boot-camp, the young talents, organized into working groups, will be guided by a panel of prestigious creatives who will act as mentors throughout the process. This year’s mentors are Eva Povilauskaitė from Jung Von Matt, Berlin, Rimantas Stanevičius from Milk, Vilnius, Mantas Velykis from LRT (Lithuanian National Television), Vilnius, Gabrielius Jucevičius from Clinic 212, Vilnius, Collette Wasielewski from Owwn, Bruna Gonzalez (Independent Creative Director), Charlotte Bufler from The Wunderwaffe and Lewis Blackwell, Director of Lurzer's Archive and CEO of Creative Standards International. Moreover, Hans-Peter Albrecht, is the ADCE Creative Express Programme Director also a Creative Partner at The Wunderwaffe.
